Kenwood Cheerleaders

Kenwood K-8 Center Cheerleading Squad consists of eighteen upper academy students who are the spirit and pride of our school. Our cheerleaders perform approximately twice a month in various school activities on and off campus.

Students interested in becoming a member of the Kenwood Cougars Cheerleading
Squad must have at least a ‘C’ average in academics and at least a ‘B’ average in
conduct from the previous school year. Interested students must also participate
in a cheerleading clinic to learn the necessary routines and jumps for tryouts.
A panel of three to four adults familiar with cheerleading and not affiliated with
the school, serve as tryout judges.

Clinic participants must wear comfortable clothing and sneakers. Tryouts will be held
Tuesday, September 16 at 3:00 pm in the annex cafeteria. Tryout participants
must wear red cotton shorts, a white T-Shirt and sneakers with white footies.
