On behalf of the teachers and support staff at Kenwood K-8 Center, I welcome you to our school for the 2007-2008 academic year. We look forward to an exciting year full of positive and rewarding learning experiences for you child.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our students, teachers, support staff, PTSA, and all our parents for earning an "A" from the Department of Education and the State of Florida for the fifth consecutive year. Kenwood's "A" rating is based on the results of FCAT testing conducted last spring, attendance and student improvement from one year to the next. We should all be proud of this outstanding achievement and proud of this collaborative effort.

A strong partnership between school and home is an instrumental part of our students' education. Therefore, I encourage you to become an active member of the Kenwood PTSA. Every year, the PTSA provides Kenwood with many wonderful activities, generously donates educational materials/equipment, and most importantly, dedicate valuable time in order to benefit our school, and your children.
