COUGAR ART GALLERY
Ms. Alice Goldhagen
Art Teacher

We are pleased to announce that the work of our students is now in a permanent collection at the Wolfsonian-FIU museum's "A Page at A Time" program. This program is an interdisciplinary educational program fir fifth grade students created by the Miami museum in collaboration with the Miami-Dade Public Schools. " A Page at A Time" is made possible through funding from Miami_Dade County Public Schools, the Florida Arts Council, the Division of Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Kenwood's ceramic contribution is entitled, Mankind's Worst Enemy?. It consists of a series of muted ceramic vessels. The work explores five ways man threatens man: pollution, genocide, war, self-abuse and crime. A concluding vessel proposes a way to contain these evils; by education and enlightenment.
We are honored that the work of our students has achieved such an honorable placement.
